SAVE THE DATE – Women Helping Women & Children Benefit Breakfast!

The annual WHW Fundraiser Breakfastis coming soon. Expected to be bigger, the Peñasco Expo Center(Convention Center) is the venue for the November 21^st for the 9:30 am event.

New impactful and inspiring projects are ready to be shared with all of you! It has been an incredibly busy spring and summer for Women Helping Women. Along with hosting their annual Children’s Day Party, WHW was able to assist local single mothers and families in unexpected emergencies and heartbreaking circumstances. When two families lost their homes to devastating fires, WHW provided food, clothing, linens, furniture, and water cisterns. And in an extraordinary show of community support, WHW covered the cost of labor and materials and partnered with a generous local construction company to build and gift a studio home to one of these families who were Nuevo Peñasco fire victims – a single mother and her two little children. What an amazing example of what can happen when caring people come together!

WHW also arranged a generator for a young family in desperate need, delivered drinkable water and donations to neighborhoods throughout the summer, and brought a water truck to San Rafael, providing free water to local residents. The need for water was so critical that one day, the truck had to return and refill two more times – providing 30,000 liters for 25 families! And the giving continued with “Give-Away Shopping Days” in Colonias Faisanes and Nuevo Peñasco, where single mothers were able to receive much-needed clothing donations, potable gallons of drinkable water, and water cisterns. This is what WHW is all about – showing up, lending a hand to the less fortunate families in need.
