The 7th Edition of the Art Walk will take place once again, where a group of local artists will be gathering around the Old Port at several venues, giving the visitor and art lovers the opportunity to wander around the streets of Peñasco’s Old Port while getting to know their work and meeting the artists.
On Saturday, December 27th, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the following venues will be hosting this event: Cafe del Puerto, Buzagi Coffee, Leo’s Bar, Patio del Arte, and Grapes and Barley. All the venues are located nearby along two streets in the Old Port which are 1° de Junio and Alcantar Streets, and a little detour on 20 de Noviembre Street.
This edition’s artists will be: Jose Pastor, Julieta Olalde, Gloria Nuñez, Manuel M. Peña, Mario Perez, Missy Mitchell, Valery Mireles, Adelaida Del Real, Luis Garzon, Nat Lala, Paty Gracida, Annie Cota, Agua Salada, Ariel Salazar, Mickey Espinosa y Jim Brow and the newest incorporations will be Cristina Paredes and Ken Willits with photography and Debi Blake with her paintings, two new full-time residents in this port city.
The variety of styles and techniques include Impressionism, abstracts, surrealism, cubism, and figurative works, ranging from contrasting black and white to works full of vivid colors portraying the artists’ personalities.
In last year’s edition, the number of visitors checking in the venues increased significantly, making it a total success according to one of the organizers. This is a clear sign of the steady growth of the event.
