February! Wow! Already into 2026 like a lion! We sure had an interesting January, didn’t we!? It rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock…and most of Peñasco was underwater for a few days. The aftermath was ugly too, with impassible streets and lots of deep puddles. We are past that now, thankfully, and looking forward to a great season here at the post.

Starting on February 8, at 2:00 p.m., we will be having a Super Bowl party. Bring a crockpot of your favorite soup or chili to share. Hot dogs and corn bread will be provided, too! So come on down and enjoy a little comfort food and watch the big game starting at 4:30 PM.

Are you a February baby? There will be monthly potluck/birthday parties to celebrate all you Aquarian members and friends. This month it will be on the 18th, which is a Wednesday, starting at noon with entertainment by Papi Chulo later in the afternoon. We will also celebrate our January babies, so don’t feel left out. Come join us for an afternoon of good food, good fun, and good friends.

We aren’t scheduling anything to commemorate Valentine’s Day, but stop by the Post and lift a glass to your Valentine!

As you can see, Post 15 will be a busy place this February, but never too busy to welcome new guests and members!! So come on over and enjoy the fun. Of course, the usual diversions at the Post are still available: Bingo, Karaoke, and Pool (both swimming [for those who can stand the cold water] and billiards!) are ongoing. The kitchen is hopping too, providing great meals at very reasonable prices and, as always, the beer is cold as are the cocktails!

Remember, too, that the Legion provides mail service from Lukeville to Peñasco on a weekly basis. The service is the cheapest in town at $20.00 a month, $60.00 a quarter, and a free month for an annual subscription. Also, there is a $10 per package charge for items too large to fit in your mail box.

You can watch all the football you can stand with three screens…and an ocean view at the post, too! So, if you’re in town, stop by the Post for a cold one and enjoy the camaraderie that our post is famous for! Remember, you do not have to be a veteran or an American Legion Member to enjoy the post! We hope to see you there!
