Whether you are buying your dream beach home, investing in property, or preparing to sell, choosing an AMPI member is one of the most important decisions you can make. AMPI members are committed to ongoing professional education, adherence to a strict Code of Ethics, and staying informed about the laws and regulations governing real estate transactions in Mexico. Working with an AMPI professional provides added knowledge, accountability, and integrity, giving buyers and sellers greater confidence that their interests are represented throughout the transaction.
Education, professionalism, and community involvement remain at the heart of AMPI Puerto Peñasco Chapter 51. Over the past several weeks, our Board participated in important meetings, educational opportunities, and professional development events that benefit not only our members, but the entire Puerto Peñasco community.
We would also like to once again congratulate the newest members of our real estate community who received their Diplomas on May 22nd. Our Board was honored to attend the graduation ceremony to welcome these dedicated professionals and wish them continued success as they begin their real estate careers.
On May 26th, our Vice President of Events, Astrid Avila, organized an outstanding educational seminar, “Protecting Your Real Estate Transactions”, attended by more than 80 community professionals. The event brought together real estate advisors, accountants, business owners, and service providers. Presentations by C.P. Gerardo Suárez, President of the Association of Accountants 2026, and Martina Contreras of MexTrust Solutions provided valuable guidance on SAT compliance, recordkeeping, accounting practices, and bank trusts. The knowledge shared will help professionals better serve their clients while reducing costly mistakes.
On June 5th, Vice President Sadith Cota, Treasurer Angelina Soto, and Administrator Georgina Infante attended a presentation on COMPRANET Sonora PLUS Single Supplier Registry, presented by the Sonora State Secretariat for Anti-Corruption and Good Governance. The presentation explained the registration process, operation, and benefits of the platform, which promotes transparency and encourages supplier participation in government procurement. Understanding programs like COMPRANET helps business professionals stay informed about new opportunities while supporting greater accountability and transparency throughout our region.
On June 11th, AMPI Board Members Fabian Nieblas Olivas and Angelina Soto participated in a national Zoom meeting hosted by AMPI Nacional, led by Maricela Rodríguez Pereyra, Vice President and Coordinator of Coordinators. The meeting focused on evaluating the operational status of local sections, strengthening regional collaboration, and identifying opportunities for continued growth. AMPI Puerto Peñasco continues to see strong membership growth, reflecting our commitment to professionalism, ethics, and ongoing education. Participating in meetings such as these ensures our local chapter remains connected to national initiatives, allowing us to bring valuable resources, training, and best practices back to our members, ultimately benefiting consumers and our community.
As you can see, our Board remains actively engaged and dedicated to serving both our members and the Puerto Peñasco community. We are committed to raising professional standards through continuing education, ethical business practices, and meaningful collaboration with local organizations and government agencies. At the same time, we strive to educate the public on all aspects of buying, selling, and owning property in Rocky Point, helping consumers make informed decisions with confidence.
AMPI Puerto Peñasco Chapter 51 welcomes visitors to our office in Plaza Melani, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A Major Step Toward AMPI’s Future
We have officially initiated the process of obtaining the title to a parcel of land where we envision building AMPI’s future offices. As part of this initiative, we also plan to collaborate closely with the local Associations of Architects and Engineers in the planning and development of our future facilities. Their expertise and partnership will be invaluable as we create a functional and lasting space that serves our members and the community. Although this remains a long-term project still in the planning stages, we are excited to continue making progress and laying the foundation for AMPI’s future. We look forward to sharing updates as this vision continues to take shape.
