Life, as the wise man says, is for living. Marsha Beemish of Mesa doesn’t let many opportunities for fun pass her by. She wondered if Rocky Point would live up to her standards for wild and outrageous behavior.
MARSHA: Why should I go to Rocky Point, Cap’n Greg? Can’t I get just as silly where I live?
CAP’N GREG: Marsha, if going gaga is your primary objective, almost any place will do…although Mesa would not be on my top 10 list. I guess it’s a matter of degree. How loco do you want to get?
MARSHA: My friends say I’m a crazy woman when I party. Like, it’s my duty to shake my booty. They don’t call me Marsha Mellow for nothin’.
CAP’N GREG: That’s s’more than I want to know.
MARSHA: Don’t get me wrong, Cap’n, I’m into a lot more than burritos and booze.
CAP’N GREG: I shudder to think about your excesses, Marsha. Peñasco is not just street food and hangovers. There’s shopping and stunning restaurants for every budget. Simply walking along the beach brings a lot of satisfaction. And at low tide, there’s a surprise under every rock.
MARSHA: Oh, gross me so sick! I’m really not into creepy-crawly things. Other than dating older men once in a while.
CAP’N GREG: Hmmm. Maybe you’d enjoy half a day of fishing. Or a snorkeling excursion out to Bird Island. There’s nothing like having a pod of playful dolphins surround the boat.
MARSHA: I played with a Dolphin in Miami once. A real fumbler, if you know what I mean.
CAP’N GREG: Ooooo-kay. How about a sunset cruise? I’ve been a lot of places in this world, and there’s nothing that quite compares to the emotional kick of a Rocky Point sunset.
MARSHA: So, you have to be outside to see one of those? I don’t want to miss the bar action.
CAP’N GREG: There are lots of outdoor bars where you can enjoy a sunset, Marsha. Playa Bonita is my favorite.
MARSHA: Thanks for the advice, Cap’n. I guess I’ll give it a try. Maybe take it slow at first.
CAP’N GREG: Tequila and tacos?
MARSHA: How could I go wrong?
CAP’N GREG: I don’t know, Marsha, but I’m sure you’ll find a way.
