Why We Do It?
The gala is more than just a special evening. It’s an opportunity to continue supporting Esperanza’s mission by raising funds for the home’s operational costs and the completion of the long-awaited new baby’s home. Every child deserves a safe, loving space filled with opportunities. Together, with the help of every Friend of Esperanza, we keep building that place!
A Legacy of Hope
About ten years ago, a group of churches, volunteers, and supporters came together with a mutual concern for the children and staff of Esperanza Para Los Niños, a children’s home in Mexico. Each of them had been independently supporting the children and became concerned about the financial sustainability of Esperanza.
Over the years, Friends of Esperanza have made a remarkable impact. They have built two homes for missionaries, provided solar power for the home, supplied food, clothing, and even braces for the children. They also established an additional home for adolescents in Rocky Point and created a clothing store to teach employment skills.
In 2015, the first Day of the Child event was created as an annual fundraiser. Since then, it has raised thousands of dollars for the children of Esperanza. Now, as we celebrate ten years of impact, the Children’s Gala 2025 continues that tradition of giving and hope.
