PUERTO PEÑASCO — Empty Bowls Puerto Peñasco is inviting the community to put on a swimsuit, grab a towel, and come hungry for its annual Beach Burger Bash Pool Party, taking place Wednesday, September 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Playa Inn/Gatos Bar on Avenida Sinaloa.

Now one of Empty Bowls’ most popular fundraisers, Beach Burger Bash combines good food, live music, poolside fun, and a little friendly mischief – all in support of Empty Bowls’ mission of providing staple foods and assistance to local neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

For just $10 USD (170 pesos), guests will enjoy a burger grilled by SR Angus, made with quality hamburger and all the fixings, and served on special-order handmade buns created especially for the event.

Those who purchase their tickets in advance will also receive a free serving of gelato from La Heladería, generously sponsored by Uno Mas Bar.

Gatos Bar will offer mixed drinks and sodas for purchase, while Bocho will provide the evening’s music. Guests can also participate in a 50/50 raffle, shop exclusive Empty Bowls merchandise, and take part in a few surprises planned for the evening.

There will also be a special live auction with a “Last Person Standing” twist, adding another element of fun to an evening designed to be anything but a typical fundraiser.

A VIP Experience:

For guests looking for something a little more upscale, Empty Bowls is offering a very limited number of $100 VIP tickets.

The VIP dining room will accommodate only 16 guests, making this an intimate and exclusive dinner experience. The menu will feature SR Angus filet mignon cooked to order, twice-baked potatoes, grilled asparagus, and gelato for dessert.

Organizers are already predicting the filet will be “melt-in-your-mouth delicious.”

Guests traveling from out of town—or locals who simply want to make an evening of it – can also reserve a room at Playa Inn and turn Beach Burger Bash into a midweek getaway.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors:

While Beach Burger Bash is designed to be a lot of fun, its purpose is very serious.

Empty Bowls Puerto Peñasco raises funds throughout the year to help provide staple foods and resources to members of the local community who need a little extra assistance. The organization was founded on the belief that neighbors can come together, have fun, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

“Fundraising doesn’t have to be all work and no play” is the spirit behind the event. “We’re neighbors helping neighbors – and we like to have a REALLY good time doing it!”
