Can You Guess What This Is?

DSCN1164At first glance if you thought the dozen dark colored objects are empty beer bottles lined-up for target practice (though, I guess target practice isn’t allowed in Mexico unless the shooter is using rocks), you’d be wrong.

Or, maybe you believe they are some kind of lighting fixtures attached to a carnival ride. Nope.

Possibly 12 equally spaced cogs in a gear? Not quite.

Ebony piano keys? No.

Felt-tip pen marker caps? Not even close.

Give up?

Actually, they are just a few of many large anchor bolts and nuts securing the new electrical wind generator tower to its concrete base. The bottle-shaped heavy plastic sheaths/covers protect the steel attachments from corrosion and debris.
