For many years, decades in fact, the Cholla Bay Sportsmen’s Club has coordinated a Christmas Light Parade through the streets of La Choya.

This year the parade will be on Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at 7 p.m., departing from the community center across from the park on Tiburon, and traversing all the major streets in La Choya. As the parade progresses, the drivers hand out candy to the onlookers and there is always a blast of Christmas music to accompany the floats.

The Sportsmen’s Club teams up with the Old Boys Social Club for this event. While the CBSC coordinates the parade, the OBSC hosts a dinner from 5 to 6:30 in the community center prior to the parade.

The dinner is $10 per person and all proceeds from the dinner go toward the Children’s Christmas Party for Choya children and the children of people who work at the various businesses in Choya.

The dinner is open to everyone, and the parade is open to all entries. You can participate in either or both. There is no charge to enter the parade.
