This month, Puerto Peñasco is set to host thousands of bikers from Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. as the 23rd annual Rocky Point Rally rumbles into town on November 7th and over the course of three days, this event will invigorate the local economy and support charities, all while creating a vibrant, celebratory environment filled with the sweet harmony of roaring motorcycle engines.

Not only does the rally provide a significant uplift to the local economy, but the earnings from registrations and Rally activities like the bike show and poker run are directed to seven charities in the region. These include organizations focused on Breast Cancer awareness, a home for the elderly, a school for children with special needs, as well as Children’s and Family Services in Puerto Peñasco and Sonoyta (DIF), the Fire Department, and the local Red Cross.

According to the Oficina de Convenciones y Visitantes, most motorcyclists come from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and California, as well as the Mexican states of Sonora, Chihuahua, and Baja California. Additionally, past notable international participants have comprised individuals from Canada, Sweden, and even Indonesia.

During their visit, the bikers will have the opportunity to explore the real estate market and learn that Puerto Peñasco is seeing a surge in buyer interest in 2024, with the volume of sold properties rising by 5% compared to the same period last year. This suggests that more properties are being acquired in 2024 in comparison to 2023. Other notable indicators are new construction homes and developments sales are outpacing resales of current inventories making it a great time to look at many of our new developments under construction.

One of the key factors driving the market is the town’s growing reputation as a tourist destination. Fueled by its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and outdoor recreational activities many investors are snapping up properties to rent out to vacationers, while others are looking for a permanent residence or a second home. With new developments and infrastructure projects underway, the market is constantly evolving, making it crucial to stay informed about the latest trends and prices.

Whether you’re interested in purchasing land for development, acquiring a vacation home or condominium, or searching for new developments to invest, the real estate market in Puerto Peñasco offers numerous investment opportunities.
