Summer is on the run and our “season” is just around the corner. Things have stayed fairly busy at the post with bingo, karaoke and trivia. The kitchen is doing well, changing up the menu and putting out some really great (cold, sandwiches, etc.) food for not very much money.
If you didn’t know, we have an American Legion post here in Puerto Peñasco. We also have and American Legion Riders chapter! If you are looking for a great place to hang out while you’re in town, this is the place. The A/C is cold and so is the beer. Bingo, trivia and karaoke will make for a fun diversion while you’re in town and if you are a veteran, this is your place too! The post is open to the public as well, so even if you aren’t a veteran, you are more than welcome to come by and hang out! Our pool playing members played 9 balls through August and shifted to 8 ball in September. At this writing, I have no schedule of where, and who, we are playing, but stop by and ask!
This year, for Bike Week (a Rocky Point Tradition), the American Legion Riders Chapter at the post will be hosting a barbecue for our fellow riders (and anyone else who has a hankerin’ for a good meal), veteran or not, so please stop by on Friday, November 8th between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a burger (with all the trimmings), hot dog, or both! Chips and drinks will also be available. The post has advised that there will be music as well as drink specials. So, if you are in town for Bike Week and want to satisfy a craving for good food, good drinks, good people and a good time…come on by! You’re always welcome!
