With a blink of an eye another year has gone by. Rodeo Drive has certainly seen the “best of times and the worst of times” this year, but onward and upward we’ve got this. Known for its friendly laid-back tone and friendly vendors it should be at the top of your list for your visit to Rocky Point.

Did you know that not only will you find made in Mexico handcrafted items on the Drive there is a wonderful selection of original art. Many of the artists are local, but there are also artists from the South of Mexico a wide variety of subject and style.

This month I want to introduce you to Mickey Espinosa. Mickey is a Puerto Peñasco native and completely self-taught. He does an eclectic variety of subject matter from hummingbirds (a fan favorite) and sea life to family portraits even portraits of your favorite pet. Want something special for you home he gladly does commission work. Your subject, your colors, a special size, he’ll do it.

We have been watching Mickey grow and develop his technique over the last 10 years. He displays his work at Su Casa and sometimes you can see him painting there. With a pleasant laid-back personality his clients sometimes come back just to visit with him. Come and take a look for yourself.

Rodeo Drive is a special street in Puerto Peñasco with the flags flying and the vendors creating their goods right in their shops. A small taste of Old Mexico. See you on the Drive.
