Feliz Junio mis amigos! I hope everyone is kicking off their summer in style…perhaps some new shades (hopefully they last longer than Tomas’ purchases for new shades…sometimes it’s been literally hours), a new beach hat, how about a new swimsuit or beach towel? Or even better yet, how about a new convertible?!!! I say splurge a bit and go for it and get them all…Life is short as they say so have FUN today 😊! I hope everyone is looking forward to Circus Mexicus and the array of bands coming to town along with the headliners…Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. In case you needed a reminder it is from June 6-9 (6/6-6/9 my favorite days of the year) …what a great time to enjoy the sights, sounds and beach vibe in Rocky Point. I for one will be there before I head out to Mykonos with my daughter Via to celebrate her college graduation from TCU! YAY TO VIA!

Sooooo, this year Father’s Day falls on June 16th. A special shout out to all the Padres, Vaders, Makuakanes, Ojciecs, Otecs, Otacs, Peres and Fathers!  We all have at least one Dad to be grateful for that brought us into this life and many people have had several dad’s that helped to shape and mold them into mature, responsible (ok, well you can leave me out of the mature thing) and caring adults. It is our time to give back to all of the dads in our lives including Step-dads, Grandfathers, Great-grandfathers, Godfathers and even those dads that we adopted along the way of our lives. Trust me, as a dad…there is no better feeling than a simple card or phone call to express thanks for being there for them. Please let’s all remember our fathers on June 16 and do something extra special for them…we all have some time to plan ahead now. So, here’s a tribute to my dad, Paul Thomas Paliscak and my Godfather Stanley Rosolowski…I love you both!

I put together some of my favorite Father’s quotes to help you share some of your insight with your dad even if he is in heaven…you can read it to him…I promise, he is listening…

A father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you grow…Unknown.

When my father didn’t have my hand, he had my back…Linda Poindexter.

My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me…Jim Valvano.

My father didn’t tell me how to live. He lived, and let me watch him do it…Clarence Budington Kelland.

I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father’s protection…Sigmund Freud.

A father carries pictures where his money used to be…Steve Martin (boy how true!)

No man stands taller than when he stoops to help a child…Abraham Lincoln.

When a father gives to his son, both laugh; when a son gives to a father, both cry…William Shakespeare.

Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad, and that’s why I call you dad, because you are special to me. You taught me the game and you taught me how to play it right…Wade Boggs.

A father is the one friend upon whom we can always rely…Emile Gaboriau.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the beach and bopping around town to see all the amazing musicians taking part in Circus Mexicus! Salud to a boat load of fun, spirits and of course FATHERS!!!! ADIOS AMIGOS
GOD BLESS
Marco
