The Mermaid’s Market is Rocky Point’s longest continuously running Open Air Arts & Crafts Market. Our first market was in the same location – way back in 2012. We have grown significantly over the past 12 years! From just a handful of vendors in the early years – to nearly filling the park with dozens of artists, vendors, food and of course, a Bar serving the Mermaid’s secret recipe Blue Mermaid Margaritas and more.
To quote one of our visitors, “The Mermaid’s Market is more than just a market…it is the gathering of a close-knit community. Stroll through and listen to the greetings of friends and neighbors. There are smiles and laughter and an overall feeling of joy.” This is exactly what the founders of the Mermaid’s Market intended!
We call our artists “mermaids”-and they bring new treasures to each market. Each one of us invites you to visit our fantastic Open-Air Arts and Craft Market.
For this thirteenth season, we have expanded! Adding Mermaid Artist’s Alley with almost a dozen new vendors offering unique items that you did not see last Season! Don’t miss meeting our newest “Mermaids” and discover what their artistic passion is!
Hang out for a bit longer and join us between 2:00 and 3:00 for HAPPY HOUR. The bar will have their premixed drinks half-price (until they are gone.) Additionally, many of our other artists & vendors will have HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS! Ask them for their Happy Hour price…You never know what treasure you may pick up at the end of the day.
One of our Mermaid’s Market vendors annually hosts a Coat, Sweater and Warm Clothing Drive for disadvantaged marina workers and others who find colder temperatures difficult to manage. This is a great time to sort your closet and find a donation! The Coat Drive will continue through all our November and December markets.
We exist due to our long-standing relationship with the local DIF office whose purpose is to assist disadvantaged families in our area. We appreciate the support that we receive from DIF along with the cooperation of the Local City Administration. Gracias.
